19th Century Regency Rosewood Chess Table (England, circa 1830)
19th Century Regency Rosewood Chess Table (England, circa 1830)
A good quality 19th century late regency
period rosewood oblong lamp table, or
games table, having chess board inlaid to
well figured top over one frieze drawer
with elegant turned knobs raised on
faceted tapering column terminating on
quad form base with carved scrolling feet
(A typical occasional table type design of the time
with the added bonus of a chess board inlaid to
the top. This is constructed from good quality
rosewood veneers and is a sweet functional size.
Whether you intend to use it as a games table, or
just a little occasional table it is certainly very much
fit for purpose and would be a useful, decorative
addition to any room in the home).
