A Charming William IV Period Pollard Oak Occasional Lamp Table, Having Superbly Figured Circular Tilting Top Over Faceted Central Column, Terminating On Triform Base With Original Turned Bun Feet With Concealed Castors.

This lamp table is constructed from burr oak, sometimes referred to as pollard oak, which is a hughly decorative timber and retains a lovely warmth to it. As with burr walnut, burr maple, burr yew and any other woods which are constructed with burr veneers the item is much rarer than its counterparts constructed from normal timber as there was simply far less burr veneers available, resulting in it being significantly more expensive to purchase initially when in it’s raw form.

It is in excellent condition in terms of no significant defects either visually or structurally and has a real charm and elegance to it. The simplicity of the design is something which really adds to the elegance and the table would be a beautiful addition to just about any spot, in any room of the house, as well as being incredibly functional.

As with all items which we offer for sale it has been inspected by our highly trained, specialist, traditional antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is in excellent condition and ready to be placed straight into the home.

We have vans regularly on the road throughout mainland England and where practical and realistically possible are always pleased to offer prospective clients our approval service. Where possible we will not charge to bring the item/s out to you and place them in position in your home then take them away again should you choose not to purchase them. On some occasions there may be a nominal charge to cover the cost of our approval service, but this will always be discussed and explained to you in advance of our visit.

Please make it very clear when enquiring about an item, or items, if you intend to use the approval service as it must be agreed with us in advance of any further discussions re delivery timescales etc.
