Brass Bound Decoration And Double Locking
Hinged Lid Retaining Original Brass Handles
Previous/Original Owner – G.S. Robinson, 163 Sumatra Road, West Hampstead, London, NW6
(Original this trunk would have been purposed for
army use and indeed it seems likely that its was actually
made for a G.S. Robinson, of 163 Sumatra Road, London,
to transport his possessions from one battlefield to the next,
hence the carrying handles and double locking feature.
Nowadays of course this would make the perfect coffee table
with storage, or could simply be used as a storage chest/trunk
in a variety of different places around the home whilst allowing
the purchaser to imagine all sorts of tales and stories
from it’s no doubt rich and glorious history!)
