A Very Good Quality Late 19th Century Satinwood Kidney Shaped Desk, Or Dressing Table, Having Attractive Replacement Tooled Leather Top, Over Nine Drawers With Original Brass Handles And Attractive Crossbanded Inlaid Decoration Throughout, Raised On Elegant Square Tapering Legs And Original Castors.

This extremely elegant late 19th century victorian desk would of course also make a wonderful ladies dressing table, just about the perfect size, function and level of sophistication to suit any room of ones choice. The satinwood timbers used within its construction are very well figured and it has been well made ensuring that all drawers still operate smoothly.

These kidney shaped desks are always extremely popular articles, mainly down to the fact they are just as at home in the corner of a room, or against a wall, as they are stood centrally in the middle of a room. The variety of functions and rooms they can be used in and for also adds greatly to the appeal of course.

As with all items which we offer for sale this 19th century desk has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is in absolutely the best possible condition and ready for immediate placement within the home before being offered for sale.

We have vans regularly on the road throughout mainland England and where practical and realistically possible are always pleased to offer prospective clients our approval service. Where possible we will not charge to bring the item/s out to you and place them in position in your home then take them away again should you choose not to purchase them. On some occasions there may be a nominal charge to cover the cost of our approval service, but this will always be discussed and explained to you in advance of our visit.

Please make it very clear when enquiring about an item, or items, if you intend to use the approval service as it must be agreed with us in advance of any further discussions re delivery timescales etc.
