A mid-19th century teak military campaign chest of
most unusual small proportions having well figured
top over four graduated drawers retaining original
flush fitted brass handles and original brass bound
decoration raised on original turned feet
(Military campaign chests as the name suggests were originally made
for easy transportation around the battlefield. A feature specific to this
purpose is the brass bound decoration designed to ensure there are
as few bits “poking out” which are likely to snag during movement as
possible. This example is most unusual in terms of the fact it is much
narrower than normal and therefore would suit a variety of different
spaces. A functional, practical and elegant piece that is very much
still fit for it’s original purpose.)

Where possible we will not charge to bring the item/s out to you and place them in position in your home then take them away again should you choose not to purchase them. On some occasions there may be a nominal charge to cover the cost of our approval service, but this will always be discussed and explained to you in advance of our visit.
