A delightful mid-18th century Georgian tall oak chest
of four short and four long drawers retaining exceptional
rich color and patina throughout and original brasswear
raised on original shaped bracket feet

(This is one of the most simple, but charming 18th century chest
of drawers we have ever owned and at the same time incredibly
practical with storage space to almost the level of a small chest on
chest, or tallboy. Clearly made in the country but by a very skilled
craftsman it retains its original brassier and original feet. It also boasts
an incredibly heavy, panelled back, which has helped to ensure there
has not been too much significant shrinkage of the wood over the
years. It also of course retains a quite exceptional colour and patina
which has a real warmth to it and you feel that this piece would most
certainly not look out of place in any room around the home which the
owner decides to place it in, whilst also of course adding great functionality.)

If you find that you are seriously interested in one, or a number of items, of our stock but unsure whether it will sit right in that alcove, or whether or colour will work with that chest of drawers already in place, then we may be able to help….

We have vans regularly on the road throughout mainland England and where practical and realistically possible are always pleased to offer prospective clients our approval service. Where possible we will not charge to bring the item/s out to you and place them in position in your home then take them away again should you choose not to purchase them. On some occasions there may be a nominal charge to cover the cost of our approval service, but this will always be discussed and explained to you in advance of our visit.

Please make it very clear when enquiring about an item, or items, if you intend to use the approval service as it must be agreed with us in advance of any further discussions re delivery timescales etc.

Every customer will be issued with an invoice containing a detailed item description and approximate date of manufacture in line with both our trade associations strict codes of conduct.
