An Attractive Late 19th Century, Victorian Period, Rectangular Gilt & Gesson Wall Mirror, Having Old Bevelled Mirror Plate Within Cushion Frame With Richly Carved Foliate Decoration And Egg & Dart Outer Border.

This good quality and attractive 19th century wall mirror has both elegance and presence at the same time. The frame is well carved and detailed without being overly fussy, resulting in a look which could be utilised in a wide variety of different settings and schemes.

The mirror is also a good size, big enough to be noticed, but not so big that it is totally dominant, which in combination with the ability to hang it either portrait or landscape, again adds to the myriad of different places this mirror could be hung.

Overall the condition is good, with just the expected old marks, scuffs and repairs for a mirror of this age, but certainly nothing visually displeasing or unpleasant in that respect. Also the attractive bevelled mirror plate is probably original but we cannot guarantee that.
