An attractive late 19th century gilt overmantle mirror of good
proportion having superbly carved top above original mirror
plate flanked by half turned columns with foliate
carved decoration
(This mirror is significantly better quality than many which were made
during this period and the condition is relatively good. There is some
old marks, scratches, scuffs and repairs but all in all the gilding retains
a lovely mellow color and its also nice that it retains its original plate
with some historic ageing to the very bottom of it as shown in the images.
The dimensions are also perfect for a variety of different spaces in a
variety of different rooms).
