A Superb Quality Early 19th Century Regency Period Nest Of Three Rosewood Coffee Tables, Or Occasional Tables, Having Superbly Figured Tops With Cockbeaded Panel Decoration, Raised On Elegant Turned Upright Supports, United By Curved Cross Stretchers, Terminating On Sabre Feet.

Dating to the early part of the 19th century, as opposed to the last quarter like so many of these types of tables, these are exceptional quality and very beautiful indeed.

The top of each table is extremely well veneered with high end and extremely well figured, specifically chosen rosewood veneers and there is also cockbeaded panels to each top. The combination of these features creates a most elegant effect to each of the tops.

These tables are in good, solid, functional condition, with very little restoration or existing damage to speak of. It is worth noting that we have had many similar nests of this period and it’s not that often that they are found without rudimentary repairs to smashed legs, or with tops that have faded to totally different colour, split, or just generally look different. Its therefore clear that this particular nest has been well loved, cherished and used throughout its life.

As with all items which we offer for sale they have been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled antique furniture restorers who have tightened the joints, cleaned and naturally waxed them to ensure they are presented in retail condition ready to be placed straight into use.
