Georgian Mahogany Set of 8 Antique Hepplewhite Dining Chairs (England, circa 1780)
A good quality and attractive set of eight 18th
hepplewhite period 18th century English mahogany
dining chairs, consisting six single chairs and two
armchairs, having elegant camel hump backs above
elegant pierced and fluted splat backs and later
individual charming needlepoint covering to drop in
seats raised on square Chamfered legs and stretchers
(A great quality, functional, attractive set of dining chairs
from the 18th century which are as fit for purpose as the
day they were made. They have no structural defects at
all to speak off and just the expected old scuffs, scrapes and
minor repairs. The needlepoint seats are really rather charming
depicting various different animals, however with the seats
being easily removed from the chairs the covers can be very
simply removed and the seats recovered at no huge expense.)
