” Attributed to Gillows, Lancaster ”
(Almost certainly produced in the workshops of the
renowned English furniture makers, Gillows of Lancaster
this article absolutely oozes quality, class and elegance.
The attribution is based on a number of factors, including
many stamped/signed examples of the same or very similar
design which have been sold on the open market over
many years. Also the quality of timber used, the overall
craftsmanship involved and the general elegance of the
piece all confirm that it has been constructed in a one of
the most eminent workshops of the time. In terms of the
article itself it is in an excellent untouched condition and
is a very useful size. The rotating tiers add an extra piece
of functionality.)
