A Very Good Quality Early 19th Century, Regency Period, Mahogany Desk Armchair Having Superbly Figured Top Rail And Carved Rope Twist Decoration To Back, With Scrolling Arms And Leather Upholstered Seat, Raised On Elegant Turned Tapering Legs.

Often referred to as carver chairs, these antique georgian desk chairs are as popular as ever for modern day living. Perfect for using at a desk, or just as a side chair in a bedroom or similar they add a real touch of class and elegance to a room.

This is a particularly nice example, regency in date and boasting great sophistication in terms of the highly figured panel to the top rail and the deeply carved rope twist decoration.

Overall the condition of the chair is excellent and it remains as fit for purpose as the day it was made. The leather seat covering is also in good condition, showing slight signs of age but with no tears, rips or other unsightly issues to speak of.

As with all items which we offer for sale this arm chair has been attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers to ensure it is in great condition before being offered for sale, therefore it is ready to be placed immediately into the home or office.

We have vans regularly on the road throughout mainland England and where practical and realistically possible are always pleased to offer prospective clients our approval service. Where possible we will not charge to bring the item/s out to you and place them in position in your home then take them away again should you choose not to purchase them. On some occasions there may be a nominal charge to cover the cost of our approval service, but this will always be discussed and explained to you in advance of our visit.

Please make it very clear when enquiring about an item, or items, if you intend to use the approval service as it must be agreed with us in advance of any further discussions re delivery timescales etc.
