Pair of Georgian Mahogany 18th Century Side Cabinets (England, circa 1790)
Pair of Georgian Mahogany 18th Century Side Cabinets (England, circa 1790)
A very fine quality and charming late 18th century
George III period mahogany pair of d shaped side
cabinets of rare diminutive proportions having
superbly figured tops over upholstered panel
doors with original brass x cross grille enclosing
shelves raised on elegant turned feet
(It is most rare to find a pair of cabinets of this
unusually small size and excellent quality still
available as a pair today. They have more often than
not been split and never seen each other again
throughout the years. They have been constructed
from beautiful timber with various inlaid and banded
decoration. The door fabric is easy to change with
the panels just popping out as and when required).
